Abstract

Background. Currently, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have undergone tremendous development, and in a short time have gone a long way to improvement. Due to the relatively low price and ease of use, drones are widely used in many areas of both civil and special applications. For example, they are widely used to prevent potential threats to public safety and personal integrity. It is necessary to deploy a drone protection system in a sensitive area in order to determine the coordinates of a flying UAV by various detection methods. Materials and methods. The paper provides an overview of drone surveillance technologies, a comparative analysis of detection methods for use in the UAV counteraction system. The analysis of existing systems of protection against them, as well as an analysis of existing systems and methods of multifactorial counteraction to small-sized UAVs is given. The architecture of the UAV counteraction system based on passive detection methods and multifactorial suppression is given. Results and conclusions. A drone protection system is proposed that combines several technologies for passive surveillance, coordinate calculation and radio frequency interference delivery, as well as a selection of sensor characteristics and functions necessary to create a combined UAV counteraction system. A description of the operation of individual elements of the small-sized UAV counteraction system is given.
