| Abstract |
Background. One of the promising directions for improving the efficiency of mechanical processing is the introduction of qualitatively new technologies, in particular, using ultrasound energy. The use of forced ultrasonic vibrations during threading in difficult-to-process materials proved to be especially effective. As a result of the use of ultrasonic vibrations, there is an increase in productivity, performance of the threading tool, as well as the quality and accuracy of the parts obtained. Materials and methods. Special ultrasonic thread-cutting devices have been developed. Research was carried out on special samples with prepared holes for threads. The results of a study of the influence of forced ultrasonic vibrations on the performance of small-diameter taps when cutting threads in workpieces made of materials with high physical and mechanical characteristics are presented. Results and conclusions. It has been established that the use of ultrasonic vibrations leads to a multiple increase in the service life of taps. |
