Background. The paper proposes and develops mathematical methods for assessing and optimizing the resource endowment of strategies for the spatial development of individual sectors of agriculture in Russia in a market economy. Materials and methods. They are based on a probabilistic approach to assessing the availability of resources for development strategies and methods of the theory of optimal management of the distribution of financial resources and the pressure on natural resources, taking into account their random nature. Results and conclusions. The results obtained will improve the reliability and quality of the adopted strategies for the development of industries and agriculture in a market economy.
